TITF 2026: New Opportunities for Nepal’s Tourism Industry

Kathmandu. Nepal’s tourism promotion efforts in Thailand, one of its major tourism source markets in Southeast Asia, have gained further momentum with a successful participation at the Thai International Travel Fair (TITF) 2026.

The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) effectively showcased Nepal’s tourism diversity and potential at the 31st edition of TITF 2026, held from 22 to 25 January 2026 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre in Bangkok.

During the four-day fair, NTB, in collaboration with Nepal Airlines and 11 leading travel and trekking companies from Nepal, promoted the country’s tourism offerings through the “Nepal Pavilion.” Participating companies provided direct information on adventure, cultural, spiritual, and nature-based tourism products to Thai visitors.
Strong air connectivity between Nepal and Thailand—with daily direct flights and more than 20 weekly air services—has played a key role in facilitating tourism exchanges between the two countries. According to NTB, this accessibility has significantly contributed to growing interest in Nepal among Thai travelers.

Tourism products highlighting Lumbini, the Himalayan region, heritage cities, trekking routes, adventure activities, and spiritual journeys attracted considerable attention from Thai visitors. The fair also enabled direct interaction with potential travelers, encouraging them to consider Nepal as a preferred travel destination.
Beyond destination promotion, TITF 2026 served as an effective business-to-business (B2B) networking platform. Nepali tourism companies engaged with Thai travel trade professionals, tour operators, and media representatives, fostering new business relationships and exploring future collaboration opportunities.

NTB believes that Nepal’s presence at TITF 2026 has strengthened the country’s tourism image in the Thai market, reinforced long-term partnerships, and elevated Nepal’s destination profile across Southeast Asia, contributing to sustainable tourism growth in the years ahead.
