Employment Secured for Gen-Z Martyrs’ Families, Says Ujjyalo Nepal Party Chair Kulman Ghising

Patan. Chairperson of the Ujjyalo Nepal Party, Kulman Ghising, has announced that arrangements have been made to provide employment opportunities to the families of Gen-Z martyrs following discussions with the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) and approval from its board.

Speaking at an interaction and meeting program with martyrs’ families on the theme “Gen-Z Governance Warrior”, organized jointly by the United Nepalese Association Texas (USA), United Nepali Diaspora (USA), and MIT Group Foundation Australia in Lalitpur on Thursday, Chairperson Ghising informed that employment has currently been arranged for 27 applicants whose requests have already been approved.

“Out of those who have submitted applications, 27 individuals can immediately join work. Additional arrangements will be made for the remaining applicants in the coming days. We will continue coordination and collaboration with concerned institutions to ensure this process moves forward,” Ghising said.

He expressed the view that the demands of Gen-Z martyrs can be fulfilled by replacing forces that fail to understand the national interest and the aspirations of the people. Former minister Ghising emphasized that his party believes in delivering results rather than making promises. “We understand the emotions of martyrs’ families. Instead of merely speaking, we are committed to demonstrating our responsibility through action,” he stated.

Ghising further shared that preparatory work for the construction of martyrs’ parks and statues had begun following positive discussions when he was in government. “Once the Ujjyalo Nepal Party enters Parliament, we will ensure that the sentiments and rights of martyrs’ families are properly addressed,” he added.

Highlighting the issue of state accountability, Ghising noted that he has been involved in several rounds of discussions with the families of martyrs and the injured. “The Cabinet held multiple discussions to honor the martyrs. With elections scheduled for Falgun 21, the upcoming Parliament and government will also take concrete steps to address the concerns of martyrs, the injured, and their families,” he said.

During the program, Narayan Shrestha, father of martyr Dhiraj Shrestha, stressed the need for unity among martyrs’ families to advance collective welfare initiatives. Program coordinator and founder of the United Nepalese Association, Pasang Lama, stated that the organization was established 11 years ago to fulfill responsibilities toward Nepal and Nepalis, adding that it remains ready to extend support through the institution during times of national crisis.

Similarly, Chairperson of the United Nepalese Association Nepal Chapter, Dorje Sherpa, remarked that mutual understanding is impossible without dialogue. He emphasized the need for collective commitment to realize the dreams of the martyrs by building a system of good governance and a just, prosperous Nepal.
