Kathmandu । The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and TikTok have officially announced a strategic partnership aimed at showcasing Nepal’s unique natural beauty, cultural heritage, and adventure experiences to audiences worldwide.

At the heart of this initiative is the campaign #LifetimeExperience, a creator-led project designed to provide special in-app experiences while helping travelers discover Nepal’s must-visit destinations as well as hidden gems.

As part of the collaboration, NTB and TikTok will engage both domestic and international travel creators. These creators will be invited to visit Nepal, capturing their journeys in short, engaging videos to share the country’s breathtaking landscapes, cultural heritage, festivals, cuisine, art, and traditions with a global audience.

During the campaign, NTB will welcome visiting creators, offering them guided access to destinations across Kathmandu Valley and beyond, while coordinating travel, hospitality, and expert guidance.

NTB CEO Deepak Raj Joshi described the partnership as a new chapter in Nepal’s tourism promotion. “This collaboration connects TikTok’s global reach with Nepal’s unforgettable experiences. We believe it will inspire more travelers to choose Nepal as their next destination,” he said.

Fardous Motakin, Head of Public Policy and Government Relations for South Asia at TikTok, expressed enthusiasm for the initiative. “We are excited to partner with NTB in presenting Nepal’s natural wonders, cultural richness, and warm hospitality to the world,” she said.

Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Badriprasad Pandey, highlighted that the partnership goes beyond international promotion. “This collaboration will also empower local communities and creators. The planned workshops and capacity-building programs will equip Nepali youth, entrepreneurs, and content creators with skills to showcase their culture, heritage, and enterprises globally,” he said.

The Minister further emphasized that tourism is not only an industry but also the backbone of Nepal’s socio-economic development. “It creates jobs, supports small and medium enterprises, empowers rural communities, and preserves cultural traditions. This partnership ensures that these benefits are shared more broadly and inclusively,” he added.
