Kathmandu. The Malaysia Carnival 2025 officially began today at Boudha International School, Attarkhel, in collaboration with the Embassy of Malaysia in Kathmandu. The event commenced on Mangsir 13 with the joint efforts of the Malaysian Embassy, Study Plus Pvt. Ltd., and JOM Nepal, under the chief guestship of Malaysia’s Deputy Ambassador, Firadius.
According to Umesh Adhikari, head of Study Plus and JOM Nepal, the carnival features various engaging sports competitions designed to attract active youth participation.
Deputy Ambassador Firadius said the primary objective of this carnival is to encourage Nepali tourists to visit Malaysia in 2026. The initiative is part of the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign, aimed at promoting Malaysia as a top destination for food, culture, education, and tourism experiences.
The sports segment was inaugurated today by Chief Guest Firadius, School Principal Hari Lama, and Study Plus representative Umesh Adhikari.
Today’s events include High School Basketball and High School Futsal (Boys) competitions.
In preparation for the Visit Malaysia 2026 celebration, the carnival is also offering special travel packages and promotional offers to generate greater interest among Nepali travelers.
