Kathmandu. Deepak Raj Bhusal, the current General Secretary of the Educational Consultancy Association of Nepal (ECAN), has officially announced his candidacy for the post of President.
Bhusal made the announcement following the publication of the schedule for ECAN’s general assembly and election. With the election process formally set in motion, he has presented his claim for the association’s top leadership position.
According to ECAN, the general assembly will be held on January 12 (28th Poush) at 8:00 am at Alice Reception, Gairidhara, Kathmandu. The election to select a new executive committee will take place on the same day.
Currently serving as ECAN’s General Secretary, Bhusal is a seasoned entrepreneur with long-standing experience in the educational consultancy sector. He has been actively involved in the field for many years and has previously served ECAN in various capacities.
Bhusal is also the Chairperson of Enlighten International Education. He has been playing an active role in advocating for reform, transparency, and policy-level improvements in the foreign education consultancy sector.
Announcing his candidacy, Bhusal stated that his goal is to make the educational consultancy sector more credible, dignified, and competitive at the international level. He emphasized his commitment to transforming ECAN into a more institutionalized, accountable, and member-focused organization.
