Kathmandu. Nepal Ather, Nepal’s No. 1 electric scooter brand, has unveiled a new simplified ownership initiative that allows customers to purchase an Ather electric scooter using only a valid ID card, without the need for additional financial documents. With EMI options starting at just NPR 6,058, the initiative makes premium electric mobility more accessible than ever for Nepali consumers.
The ID-based financing scheme has been introduced to remove common barriers associated with electric vehicle ownership, such as lengthy paperwork and complex approval processes. By simplifying financing requirements, Ather aims to encourage a broader segment of customers to switch to smart and sustainable electric mobility.
Ather has consistently positioned itself as a leader in Nepal’s electric two-wheeler market through its strong emphasis on cutting-edge technology, performance, and customer-centric services. The brand has also invested significantly in building a reliable nationwide ecosystem to support its growing customer base.
Currently, Ather has established eight Ather Experience Centers across major cities including Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Chitwan, Pokhara, Itahari, and Butwal, along with a dedicated Test Ride Zone in Boudha, Kathmandu. To ensure seamless after-sales support, the company operates eight authorized service centers nationwide.
In addition, Ather has expanded its charging infrastructure with more than 27 Ather Grid fast-charging points installed across key cities and highway routes, addressing one of the major concerns of electric vehicle users.
Renowned for features such as a smart touchscreen dashboard, fast-charging capability, over-the-air (OTA) software updates, and a refined riding experience, Ather has earned a reputation as one of the most trusted electric scooter brands in Nepal.
With this latest initiative, Ather further strengthens its mission to accelerate EV adoption in Nepal by combining advanced technology, simplified ownership, and dependable infrastructure making electric mobility practical, affordable, and future-ready for Nepali riders.
