Kathmandu. Nepal promoted itself as a “Lifetime Experience” destination at the three-day 13th Bangladesh Travel and Tourism Fair (BTTF) 2025, held in Dhaka from October 30 to November 1.
Addressing the event, Sunil Sharma, Acting Director of the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), delivered a comprehensive presentation highlighting Nepal’s diverse travel experiences. He emphasized that Nepal is a unique, experience-based destination that leaves visitors with memories to cherish for a lifetime.
Nepal’s Ambassador to Bangladesh, Ghanshyam Bhandari, in his remarks, underlined the historical, cultural and people-to-people ties between Nepal and Bangladesh. He stressed the need to further strengthen tourism exchange to deepen bilateral relations.
President of the Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh (TOAB), Md. Rafeuzzaman, and Director Md. Taslim Amin (Shovon) praised Nepal as a naturally rich and adventure-filled destination. The fair also featured a cultural performance by Nepali students in Dhaka, which is expected to further reinforce cultural ties between the two countries.
Following the formal program, a B2B interaction and networking session brought Nepali and Bangladeshi tourism entrepreneurs together to explore collaboration and business opportunities. A special raffle draw announced exclusive holiday packages for participants. More than 100 Bangladeshi tour operators, along with tourism stakeholders from both countries, took part in the event.
BTTF, recognized as Bangladesh’s largest tourism platform, saw the participation of the Nepal Tourism Board, Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA), and 10 Nepali tourism companies. The Nepal delegation included a 16-member team comprising tour operators, travel agencies and hotel representatives.
Through the fair, Nepal promoted its adventure, nature, culture and niche tourism products, positioning itself as a unique, accessible and meaningful short-haul destination for Bangladeshi travelers.
The international platform provided an important opportunity for NTB and Nepali tourism entrepreneurs to strengthen regional cooperation, enhance global partnerships and promote Nepal as a premier “Lifetime Experience Destination.”
