Kathmandu . Daraz, South Asia’s leading e-commerce platform, has announced the rollout of a new last-mile delivery service through its logistics arm, Daraz Express (DEX), aimed at supporting non-platform brands and independent sellers across Nepal. The new solution is designed to provide fast, reliable, and technology-driven delivery support to help businesses scale more efficiently without relying solely on Daraz’s marketplace.
DEX’s upgraded service addresses a critical market gap by offering greater speed, accuracy, and real-time visibility compared to traditional logistics providers. With continued investments in AI-powered route planning and enhanced parcel tracking systems, DEX now enables local deliveries within 24 hours and inter-city deliveries within 48 hours. The service boasts an average delivery time of under 1.5 days and a success rate of over 90%, alongside an impressive customer satisfaction rating of 4.6 out of 5.
Strengthening its nationwide footprint, DEX has already established operations in 108 major cities across Nepal, with plans to expand to an additional 70 cities ahead of the upcoming 11.11 shopping festival. This network expansion is expected to significantly enhance accessibility for both consumers and businesses, ensuring faster and more dependable e-commerce fulfillment regardless of location.
The new service also supports sellers through improved financial processes and cashflow stability. DEX ensures multiple cash-on-delivery (COD) settlements every week, enabling quicker reinvestment for business growth. Additionally, sellers will not be charged for failed deliveries, minimizing operational risks and maximizing their earnings.
“DEX is redefining last-mile delivery across South Asia,” said Ahmed Tanveer, Chief Logistics Officer of Daraz Group. “Whether for large online retailers or fast-growing independent sellers, DEX is committed to providing faster, more reliable, and data-driven delivery services. Our goal is to simplify logistics, elevate the customer experience, and create a delivery ecosystem that drives sustainable growth for the entire e-commerce industry.”
