Nepal Crushes Hong Kong by 119 Runs in ACC U19 Premier Cup

Kathmandu. Nepal registered a commanding 119-run victory over Hong Kong in the ongoing ACC U19 Premier Cup in the United Arab Emirates.

Chasing Nepal’s imposing total of 271 runs, Hong Kong was bowled out for 151 runs in 40.5 overs. Captain Shiv Mathur top-scored for Hong Kong with 30 runs, while Nepal’s Aprajit Poudel claimed four wickets and captain Ashok Dhami took three wickets.

Batting first at the Ajman Ground after winning the toss, Nepal posted 270 runs for seven wickets in 50 overs. Captain Ashok Dhami led the charge with 73 runs, Darsha Sonar remained unbeaten on 45, and Dilsad Ali contributed 36 runs. Hong Kong’s Abhimanyu Ganesan and Deniel Mapp took two wickets each. Ashok Dhami was named the Player of the Match for his outstanding performance.

This is Nepal’s second win in the tournament, having previously defeated Saudi Arabia by eight wickets. Among the 14 participating teams, the winner, first runner-up, and second runner-up will qualify for the Asia Cup.
