Myagdi (Beni). The body of a German national, Weiser Astrid Elizabeth, was discovered on Monday afternoon in the Khopra area of Annapurna Rural Municipality-5 in Myagdi district.
Weiser had been reported missing since November 25 while traveling from Myagdi to Kaski. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Surya Bahadur Thapa of the District Police Office, Myagdi, her body was found about 160 meters off the road in Annapurna Rural Municipality-5.
Local community members and tour guides alerted the police after spotting the body. Police stated that her body would be sent to Kathmandu for further examination.
Before departing for the Dobato area in Kaski, Weiser had stayed in the Khopra area of Myagdi. Authorities suspect that she may have fallen from a cliff, leading to her death.
