Kathmandu. The Nepal Police have arrested four individuals, including two Indians, for their alleged involvement in smuggling and selling brown sugar in Kathmandu.
A team led by Sub-Inspector Bichitra Magar of the Narcotics Control Bureau apprehended the suspects, acting on a tip-off. During the operation, 975 grams of brown sugar were confiscated.
The arrested individuals include Rabi Ananda Dev (39) from Rajbiraj and Pushpa Magar (29) from Morang of Nepal, and Raja Kumar (23) from Haripur and Devendra Kumar Sah (21) from Swastiknagar, India, according to Joint-Spokesperson Chandra Bhusan Yadav of the Bureau.
The police confirmed that further investigation is underway in accordance with the Narcotics (Control) Act, 2033, to identify any additional links and prosecute those involved.
