Deepak Raj Bhusal Files Candidacy for ECAN Presidency with Backing from Former and Current Leaders

Kathmandu . Incumbent General Secretary of the Nepal Educational Consultancy Association (ECAN), Deepak Raj Bhusal, has formally filed his candidacy for the post of President ahead of the association’s election scheduled for Paush 28.

Bhusal’s move is being regarded as a strategic and decisive step within the organization. His candidacy has received the support of former ECAN President Prakash Pandey and current President Sheshraj Bhattarai. Pandey has proposed Bhusal as a presidential candidate, while Bhattarai has endorsed him as a supporter.

The backing from both past and present leadership has positioned Bhusal’s bid as more than a personal aspiration. Within ECAN, it is being viewed as a symbol of institutional continuity, stability, and sustained professional credibility.
During Prakash Pandey’s tenure, ECAN focused on building a strong institutional foundation based on policy clarity, discipline, and transparency. Likewise, under Sheshraj Bhattarai’s leadership, the association adopted an inclusive, dialogue-oriented, and member-centric approach, guiding ECAN through challenging periods while maintaining unity.

Speaking after registering his candidacy, Bhusal said the trust shown by leaders such as Pandey and Bhattarai represents both an honor and a major responsibility. He stressed that his goal is not limited to making commitments but to ensuring professional integrity, transparency, and the protection of members’ interests.

Bhusal’s key agendas include member empowerment, enhancing the dignity and standards of the educational consultancy profession, strengthening coordination with the government and relevant authorities, and ensuring financial transparency. These priorities are expected to further strengthen the organization and enhance members’ trust and long-term reputation.
