Kathmandu. Renowned Chinese commercial vehicle manufacturer Aquell has officially entered the Nepali market. The company has appointed EV Go Nepal Pvt. Ltd. as its exclusive distributor for Nepal, marking its debut in the country.

Aquell, a leading name in commercial vehicles, specializes in electric minibuses, vans, and buses. With nearly two decades of manufacturing experience, the company has prioritized electric vehicle (EV) production in recent years. Its products, including 11-seater vans to large electric buses and pickups, are already available in over 70 countries worldwide.

According to Anup Kumar Baral, Managing Director of EV Go Nepal, the company will initially introduce Aquell’s 11, 14, and 16-seater electric vans and minibuses in Nepal. In the next phase, larger 19-seater, 25-seater, and 26-seater electric buses will be launched. Additionally, the company plans to bring cargo EV vans, electric pickups, and medium-sized trucks depending on market demand.

Aquell’s production plant is located in Fujian Province, while its headquarters is in Shandong Province, China. The company also operates its own R&D center, focusing on innovation in vehicle design and spare parts. One of Aquell’s key strengths is its cost-effective spare parts production, making it highly competitive compared to other Chinese EV manufacturers.

To support its entry into Nepal, EV Go Nepal has already begun establishing a dedicated service center in Kathmandu. The company aims to gradually expand service facilities to major cities across the country as sales grow. It has also started preparations to ensure the reliable availability of spare parts for Aquell’s electric vans and minibuses.
