Kathmandu. Nepal’s diverse tourism offerings were highlighted in Bangkok, Thailand, through the presentation of the “Nepal Pavilion” at the PATA Travel Mart 2025. The promotional showcase, organized by the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) in collaboration with Nepal Airlines Corporation and 14 private tourism companies, was held from August 26 to 28 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.
PATA Travel Mart is recognized as one of the leading international B2B travel trade events in the Asia-Pacific region. Nepal was promoted as an attractive Himalayan destination for year-round travel, emphasizing adventure, spirituality, wellness, luxury, and community-based tourism experiences.
According to PATA, the event attracted over 1,000 visitors representing more than 50 global destinations. Over 400 sellers from 225 organizations across 30 destinations participated, with 52 percent joining the Mart for the first time. Similarly, 225 buyers from 218 organizations across 41 source markets attended, 65 percent of whom were also first-time participants.
The stupa-themed Nepal Pavilion emerged as one of the most eye-catching attractions at the exhibition, drawing significant attention and appreciation from international buyers and exhibitors. It also served as a model of effective public-private collaboration in tourism promotion.
In addition, Nepal promoted the upcoming Himalayan Travel Mart 2026, the country’s flagship international travel and trade exhibition, scheduled to take place in Kathmandu from June 2 to 4, 2026.
In his opening remarks, PATA International Chair Peter Semone highlighted the Mart’s role in promoting sustainable travel and tourism across the Asia-Pacific. Meanwhile, PATA Nepal Chapter CEO Suresh Singh Budal said the Nepal Pavilion effectively presented the country as a destination for nature, culture, adventure, wellness, luxury, and community-based tourism.
The next edition of the PATA Travel Mart will be hosted in Malaysia from August 18 to 20, 2026.
