Kathmandu . The Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) has joined hands with the Nepal Police and the Nepal National Mountain Guide Association (NNMGA) to conduct rescue and relief operations in areas severely affected by the recent heavy rainfall and floods across the country.

According to the NMA, joint rescue teams have already been mobilized to provide immediate support to people trapped or affected by the disasters. The teams are focusing on high-risk mountainous and remote regions, where access is challenging and timely intervention is crucial.

NMA President Phurba Gyalge Shepa urged the public to remain calm, follow official safety advisories, and cooperate with the authorities to ensure smooth rescue operations.
The continuous rainfall has triggered landslides, flooding, and transportation disruptions in several parts of Nepal, prompting coordinated efforts from multiple agencies to minimize damage and loss of life.

Citizens are requested to stay alert and contact local authorities for any emergency assistance.
