Chitwan: A Film Literacy Program was successfully conducted at Shree Secondary School, Sahapur, located in Kalika Municipality–2, Chitwan. The program was organized by Choya Digital Solution Pvt. Ltd. and managed by Celebrity Nepal, in collaboration with the Film Development Board–Kathmandu and Kalika Municipality–Chitwan. The event took place on Poush 13, 2082 (B.S.).
Around 150 students from the school actively participated in the program. According to the organizers, the main objective of the program was to develop awareness, critical thinking, and creative perspectives among students toward cinema.

The program was attended by Ward Chairperson and Municipal Spokesperson of Kalika Municipality Ward No. 2, Laxman Paudel; Chairperson of Choya Digital Solution, Rajkumar Silwal; General Secretary of the Film Journalists Association, Raghunath Sapkota; Principal of Shree Secondary School, Prem Adhikari; Chairperson of the School Management Committee, Sombahadur Gurung; Ward Member Chitrabahadur Bhandari; film director Amardeep Sapkota; journalists Prabin Kiranti and Prem Paudel, among others. The event also witnessed significant participation from teachers.

Addressing the program, Ward Chairperson and Municipal Spokesperson Laxman Paudel highlighted the importance of film education in today’s digital era, stating that such initiatives positively influence students’ creativity and social awareness.

Chairperson of Choya Digital Solution, Rajkumar Silwal, emphasized the need for film literacy from the school level and informed that there are plans to expand similar programs in the future. Likewise, General Secretary of the Film Journalists Association, Raghunath Sapkota, urged students to view cinema not merely as entertainment but as a powerful medium for education and social transformation.
School Principal Prem Adhikari expressed his happiness over the organization of such an informative and practical program at the school and thanked the organizers and supporting institutions. Similarly, Chairperson of the School Management Committee, Sombahadur Gurung, shared his confidence that the program would help broaden students’ perspectives.
Participants shared positive feedback, stating that the Film Literacy Program helped them develop skills to understand, analyze, and creatively use cinema.
