Rasuwa. The dam of the 111-megawatt Rasuwagadhi Hydropower Project has suffered severe damage due to a flood in the Lhendhe Khola on Asar 24 (early July).
According to project officials, the project has been incurring a daily loss of around Rs 15 million as repair work on the dam has not yet begun. The restoration process has been delayed because the road required to transport repair materials to the project site is still under construction, the project informed.
The Rasuwagadhi Hydropower Project, one of the key energy projects in the district, has been out of operation since the flood, causing a significant impact on power generation and local economic activities.
