Kathmandu. Signature Holiday Pvt. Ltd. has collaborated with a group of Chinese bloggers to promote Nepal’s tourism destinations through social media. The Chinese influencers are currently touring Nepal and sharing fresh videos and photos on their popular social media platforms to introduce Nepal to millions of their followers.
On Monday evening, Signature Holiday organized a special interactive session with the visiting Chinese bloggers. Speaking at the program, Sharan Shrestha, Director of Signature Holiday, said the event aimed to spread positive messages about Nepal and highlight that the country is a safe destination for travelers. A total of 55 Chinese bloggers, including several with millions of followers, participated in the event and shared their travel experiences in Nepal.
During the panel discussion, the Chinese bloggers described their journey in Nepal as a “once-in-a-lifetime experience.” They highlighted the breathtaking trekking routes in the Himalayan regions such as Annapurna and Manaslu, saying the moments they spent there were unforgettable. Many of them shared that they are promoting Nepal by creating short travel videos and vlogs about their adventures.
The bloggers also discussed some of the challenges they faced while trekking in remote Himalayan areas. Female bloggers, in particular, shared inspiring stories about how they successfully trekked in high-altitude regions, expressing pride in their accomplishments. Among the 55 young bloggers visiting Nepal, 14 have millions of followers on their respective platforms, making their content highly influential in China.
Bagmati Province Tourism Minister Suresh Shrestha addressed the event, emphasizing that Nepal is a safe country for tourists. He added that the provincial government has allocated a special budget to invite foreign bloggers to promote Nepal internationally. Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) Vice-Chairman Kamal Sapkota stated that social media has become a powerful tool to convey Nepal’s safety and attractiveness as a destination, making such programs highly significant.
Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN) President Sagar Pandey noted that China and India are Nepal’s two largest source markets, and using social media influencers to promote Nepal can be highly effective. NTB Acting Director Sunil Sharma encouraged the bloggers to continue sharing information about Nepal’s unique destinations with the world.
According to Sharan Shrestha, the Chinese bloggers will travel across Nepal’s urban and Himalayan regions for 14 days, exploring various attractions before returning home. Their journey is expected to generate widespread online publicity and boost Nepal’s image as a top travel destination.
