Tiwari Elected President and Phuyal General Secretary at AECAN’s Third Annual General Meeting

Kathmandu: A new leadership of the Active Educational Consultancy Association of Nepal (AECAN) has been unanimously elected for the next two-year term through its Third Annual General Meeting. As only the required number of candidates filed nominations for all posts, Chief Election Officer Advocate Hareram Lamichhane officially declared the office bearers and central committee members elected unopposed.
Kishor Tiwari has been unanimously elected as President of the association.

Similarly, Meghraj Shahi and Ramesh Pathak have been selected as Vice Presidents, while Damodar Phuyal has been elected as General Secretary. Manish Kumar Bardewa has been chosen as Secretary, Mukesh Khatiwada as Treasurer, and Hiranath Maharjan as Joint Treasurer.

The newly elected central committee members include Sujan Lamichhane, Pramila Puri Bharti, Suman Thapa, Krishnahari Sapkota, Prem Prasad Sharma Paudel, Radhika Shahi, Gangaram Basnet, Subas Thapa, Bishnu Adhikari, and Rajkumar Maharjan. The new committee is expected to focus on strengthening the organization institutionally.

During the General Meeting, participants held extensive discussions on the current status, challenges, and opportunities within the educational consultancy sector. Speakers emphasized that AECAN should play a more effective role in making the sector organized, transparent, and dignified.

The newly elected leadership has committed to advancing the educational consultancy profession in line with professional standards, safeguarding members’ rights and interests, pursuing policy reforms, and strengthening institutional development. There is strong optimism that AECAN will bring positive changes to the educational consultancy sector during its upcoming tenure.
