Kathmandu. An Armed Police Force (APF) team has been deployed to assist domestic tourists visiting Mustang who were affected by continuous snowfall.
Since early morning, the APF team operated a health camp at the entrance of Muktinath Temple, providing medical check-ups and distributing medicines to around 250 tourists, according to APF Deputy Spokesperson Shailendra Thapa.
The health camp was managed by the APF Nepal, Team No. 33 from Gulmi. The sudden cold and snowfall in the area led to many tourists experiencing headaches, fatigue, and breathing difficulties. The APF identified these issues and provided basic primary care to those in need.
Meanwhile, the APF also cleared snow from the paths leading to Muktinath Temple and the temple premises to facilitate tourist movement. Teams have been working since early morning to remove accumulated snow, ensuring smoother access for visitors to the temple.
