NCCS Concludes 18th AGM in Toronto, Announces New Executive Committee

Toronto (Canada). The Nepali Canadian Community Services (NCCS), a leading organization representing the Nepali community in Canada, successfully concluded its 18th Annual General Meeting (AGM) recently, electing a new executive committee. The AGM was conducted in an atmosphere of strong community trust, engagement, and collaboration, resulting in a dynamic, inclusive, and representative leadership team for the upcoming term.

The newly elected executive committee comprises:
Patron: Bimal Basnet
President: Sudarshan Sapkota
Vice-President: Gyanusha (Gyan) Shah
General Secretary: Tikaram Poudel
Treasurer: Ganesh Neupane
Secretary: Kaushal Niraula
Similarly, the newly elected Board of Directors (BOD) includes:
Payal Shah, Rahul Gautam, Anna Bahadur Khand, Sushil Raj Lamichhane, Rama Jamarkattel, Phadindra Kandel, Sharad Mainali, Bijaya Adhikari, and Nimish Khana.
The AGM saw significant participation from community members, guests, and representatives from various sectors of the Nepali diaspora in Canada.

Expressing gratitude to the members, newly elected President Sudarshan Sapkota said:
“NCCS is our shared institution. We have come this far because of everyone’s participation and support. In the coming days, I am committed to making NCCS stronger, more inclusive, and result-oriented through community-focused programs.”

He further added:
“NCCS has continuously worked to strengthen cultural, social, and community ties between Nepal and Canada. In the coming years, we plan to expand youth-focused programs, community services, and initiatives to promote Nepali identity and pride in Canada.”

With a history spanning more than two decades, Nepali Canadian Community Services (NCCS) has been at the forefront of serving the Nepali community in Canada through educational, social, cultural, and counseling services. The organization continues to play a vital role in amplifying the community’s voice, preserving Nepali identity among younger generations, and promoting Nepali presence within Canada’s multicultural society.
