“Let’s Explore Ruby Valley” Music Video Launched to Promote Trekking Route

Kathmandu. A new music video titled “Let’s Explore Ruby Valley” has been released with the aim of promoting the Ruby Valley trekking route, one of Nepal’s emerging travel destinations.

The song has been produced under the banner of the Himalayan Community Project (Trust), an organization established to support mountain communities. Speaking at the launch, Trust Chairperson Ram Prasad Sapkota said the music video is the organization’s first project following its formal announcement.

Conceptualized, written, and produced by Sapkota who hails from Dhading and is also a tourism entrepreneur—the music video showcases the scenic beauty of Ruby Valley through a storytelling format.

Located close to Kathmandu, the Ruby Valley Trek in northern Dhading district is growing in popularity for its natural landscapes, cultural diversity, and serene environment. The video captures diverse visuals stretching from the foothills of Ganesh Himal to Narsingh Dham, highlighting the region’s spiritual, cultural, and natural attractions. Sapkota expressed confidence that the video will support tourism promotion in the area.
Unveiling the music video, writer and poet Navaraj Lamsal praised it for portraying a full picture of Ruby Valley. Despite being from Dhading himself, Lamsal shared that the video helped him discover more about the region’s hidden beauty. Noting that “real Dhading has remained in the shadows,” he urged collective efforts to promote the district’s multi-dimensional identity.

The music video is directed by Bivek Sapkota and produced by All Three Media House. Featuring performances by Sudhir Shrestha and Sagoon Thapa, the video has been released via the OSR Digital YouTube channel.
