Tanahun. In Aanbukhaireni Rural Municipality-1, Yanchoktar, a group of local women have turned marigold (Sayapatri) cultivation into a successful source of income and empowerment.
A total of 45 women have cultivated marigold flowers across 50 ropani of land, achieving economic self-reliance through the sale of their produce. Beyond the flower trade, these women have also begun producing incense sticks from unsold marigold flowers, further diversifying their income sources and reducing waste.
Their collective effort has not only strengthened their livelihoods but also set an inspiring example of community-driven entrepreneurship and sustainable rural development in Tanahun district.
