Kathmandu: Vice President Hem Bahadur Rana (Kamal) has been entrusted with the responsibility of Acting President of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ), Kathmandu Branch.
FNJ Kathmandu Branch President Shobha Aryal assigned Rana the acting role for a one-month period, effective from Thursday. Rana officially assumed the responsibility on Wednesday.
President Aryal said the decision was taken as she will be on study leave for a month, ensuring that essential decisions and daily administrative functions continue smoothly. She added that the move would also support leadership development within the executive committee.
Acting President Rana expressed readiness to handle responsibilities during the president’s absence and said he would carry out his duties in coordination and consultation with the executive committee.
